"I have a marriage license I received today from Charlottesville VA stating he married a Nellie Townsend in 1892.  He was a widower when he married her.  Maybe he was married to her sister first??? License dated 27th day of Sept 1892.  His parents were George and Elizabeth McDaniel and her parents were Thomas and Martha Townsend."

OBITUARY: The Daily Progress Newspaper - July 28, 1916  Charlottesville, Va. "Mrs. I. B. Farrar, aged 79, wife of the late Wyatt Farrar, of Nelson County, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. T. C. Rothwell, on Belmont following an attack of paralysis, sustained on Wednesday. She had been an invalid from rheumatism for ten years. The funeral will take place from the Rothwell home at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, and the interment will be in Riverview Cemetary. Mrs. Farrar was before marriage, Miss India Townsend, of near Rockfish, Nelson County. Six children survive -- W.E. Farrar, of Orange, C.C. Farrar, of Ivy, Marcellus Farrar of Alberene, W.J. Farrar and Mrs. T.C. Rothwell of this city. She also leaves one brother, now a resident of California." (COMMENT: the obituary list six children where there were only five. And there was no W.E. Farrar.)
