Samuel Gideon DOUGHTY

RESEARCHER: Information sent to T.Mason by Harrel Daughty [hdoughty@cableone.net] on 25 Feb 2004.  "I have the Doughty(Doty) all
the way back to the Mayflower."

He grew up as a farmer but later after moving to Connerville he became accomplished in the Blacksmith trade, He was a Blacksmith when the family moved to Clemscott. The he started working as a carpenter after moving to Ardmore. He and Samuel A. both worked at the new project building the "new Lake Murray". Some of the woodwork they did still exists.
