Funeral services were held for Mrs. F.R. Borden at the Baptist Church here Thursday. Mrs. Borden became seriously ill during the Christmas holidays but her condition improved until she suffered a stroke of paralysis and developed pneumonia. She was 61 years of age. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Morgan. She was an active church worker, having been a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont for a number of years. Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. John Harman, Decatur, Mrs. Charlie Adderholt of Birmingham, Mrs. Ben Black, Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. Marshall Olds of New York City.

Mrs. Nellie Williams And Mr. F.R. Borden Married At Parsonage
Piedmont, Ala., Oct. 2 - A large crowd went from the Methodist church to the parsonage last Sunday night about 8:30 and witnessed the marriage of Mrs. Nellie Williams and Mr. F.R. (Remus) Borden. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T.B. Jordan. Mrs. Williams has been a resident of Piedmont for several months, and previously was engaged in operating a beauty parlor.
Mr. and Mrs. Borden are making their home at the O.L. Stewart home, where they have an apartment, and where they are at home to their many friends.
