Johann George JAYSER

SOURCE:  1)  Howard Yeiser, Tucson, AZ. "Arrived in The New World, 1792 Oct. 20, a first cousin to the four brothers above, believed to have settled in Berks county, Penn.; 1800 census, Burks Co., Pa. 605 20010-20010-00.
    (2) "The Philadelphia Correspondence" published by Melchair Steiner on 25 May 1789, states that Johann George Geiser, stonecutter, of Phila., was from Breitenholz, Wurtenberg (south of Stuttgart). Broeitenholz is near Tubingen, south of Boblinhen.
    (3) The "Philadelphia Folklife" Winter 1966, Vol. XVI #2 has a notation that Johann Georg Jayser, age 51 and wife Barbara, age 51 arrived on the "Duke of Wirtemberg" with twins, 20Oct1752.

Page 109 lists Jacob Yeizer, Ensign, 9th Regiment May 27, 1803 and Jacob Yeizer Lieutenant, 9th Regiment April 10, 1804. Page 130: "Mercer County Regiments - 43rd Regiment laid off December 17, 1799 - Yeiser, Jacob, Ensign, Rifle Company, 43rd Regiment May 19, 1800." Page 206 lists him as Captain, Rifle Company, 2nd Regiment September 11, 1806; as Captain, Rifle Company, 9th Regiment February 5, 1805 and as Major, 1st Battalian, 2nd Regiment January 3, 1805.
