Anna Elizabeth FISCHBACK

Rector's history is well set out in THE GERMANNA RECORD, No. 4 and 5, which takes RECTOR/RICHTER and FISCHBACH family lines back to Tyl van Fispe in the Nassau-Siegen area of the German Palatinate in the fifteenth, and sixteenth centuries.

Anna Elizabeth FISHBACK, was the daughter of PHILLIP FISCHBACH of Trupbach and his wife, ELIZABETH HEIMBACK. The original ancestor of the Fischbachs was a prominent ironmaster, TIEL VAN FISCHBACH, born about 1415-1420, who was Chief Justice of the District Court of Freudenberg, and official representative of the Count of Nassau-Siegen in that District. (Nassau-Siegen lies about fifty miles east of Cologne, Germany. Reference Note 'a': GERMANNA RECORD No. 4 and No. 5).

She immigrated in April, 1714 from Nassau-Siegen,Germany to Germanna, VA, part of the original colony there.
