OBITUARY: On file from Williams County Public Library, Bryan OH 43506; "Died - at his residence two miles east of West Jefferson, On Wednesday July 1st, 1868, of Consumption, A.G. Richaardson, in the sixty-fifth year of his age. Mr. Richardson settledd in this county in 1852, and was generally known throughtout the county as an enterprising citizen, a good neighbor and devoted husband and parent. For nearly twenty-five years he had been a member of the Masonic Fraternity, and was buried on Thursday by West Unity Lodge with the impresive ritual of the order."

OBITUARY: Eliza Richardson was born near Red Stone, Pa. Nov.17, 1806, The daughter of Joshua and Patience Chandler. When she was two years old they moved to Columbiana county Ohio. In April 1824 at the age of 17 she united in marriage to Abraham ( the paper printed it as Abram) G. Richardson. In pleasant companionship they walked the journey of life together until July 1st, 1868, when at the age 64 years and 8 months, Mr. Richardson preceded her to his long home. Unto them were born 15 children, 9 sons and 6 daughters. Three sons and 6 daughters, 49 grandchildren and 71 great grandchildren, with one sister and one brother are left tto mourn her loss. In the early years of life, she, with her husband sought and found the Savior as her hope and guide. All through life, in prosperity and affliction, the protecting arm of Jesus was her support and comfort. She departed this life July 22, 1893 at the age of 86 years, 8 months,and 5 days. The funeral services were held at the residence of Geo. Burns, Jefferson township, July 24th, Rev. Matthews, officiating, after which the remains were intered in the Shiffler cemetery.
