Bushrot

Refer to a long memorandum from Will Crump written to T.Mason and others titled "Bushrod Family records."  Discussion from Will Crump refutes the long held idea that John Bushrot and his wife Margery Feltons are the parents of the Richard Bushrod that was baptized 3 Feb 1576.


Captain John Fauntleroy

DEATH: Letter from Mary Jo Fite, Cordell, OK, to T Mason; ; dtd 25 Sep 1996; in poss of T Mason; NOTE: page 613, Captain Henry Fauntleroy was a first cousin of Hannah Bushrod, the wife of Col.. John Augustine Washington. His four brothers, John, Griffin Murdock, Joseph, and Robert were officers in the Va. Continental Line Troops. His cousin, Major Griffin Fauntleroy, 1st Va. Light Dragoons Continental Line (son of Capt. Bushrod Fauntleroy), was mortally wounded at the battle of Guilford Court House, N.C. 15 March, 1781.
